Word gets around:

"One of Britain's finest
drummers. Sticky's band combines the admirable qualities of a tight ensemble, inspired soloing and the goodwill to entertain everyone within earshot."

Digby Fairweather (leading jazz
trumpeter, critic and broadcaster)

"The best thing about this CD is
the music - absolutely terrific -
even without a banjo!"

Acker Bilk
on the CD 'The Way It Was'

*

"I have to admit how good they
are even if it's going to cost me
more to book them next time!"

'Sir' Alan Buckley (International
jazz drummer and organiser of
the Upton-On-Severn jazz
festival)

*

"I thought the CD was absolutely
super"

Pete Strange
Trombonist/arranger with
Humphrey Littleton's band)

"I was one of the fortunate Lindy
Hop dancers to catch you at The
100 Club a few weeks ago. I
described you to all my fellow
Lindy Hoppers as SENSATIONAL
- we want you down
here again soon!"

James Phillips

"The band really swings and it has another vital ingredient - personality, which a lot of bands lack. The opening number 'Jersey Bounce' really gets you going and their treatment of Jumpin' At The Woodside was just superb"

These two pictures were taken at a 1940's re-enactment weekend, on the 11th July at the Glen Miller Museum at Twinwood Airfield, Clapham just off the A6 north of Bedford.

Serena and the band had just started "Cheek to Cheek", when an impromptu appearance was made by John Miller (Glenn's nephew), who leapt onto the stage, grabbed a microphone and turned the song into a duet!

Photo's by Pete King. Check out www.bigbandbuddies.co.uk

Don't forget to come and see the band on Sunday 29th August at Twinwood, when we will be on straight after the Syd Lawrence Orchestra.

The Jiving Lindyhoppers will be putting on a display, guest appearance by Mr Jim "Sinatra" McCallister, and dancing for everyone!!
